Google glass made the headlines on tech sites since its been released. Glass really seems a nice idea but still the uses of it are really less. Even though Google has made available the API for it, the hardware elements you can address are limited. A programmer called Lance Nanek has found a nice set of officially unannounced sensors idling on Google glass by pushing a Android app to it via the debug mode. He has listed the details on his web site . Google Glass got,
- MPL Gyroscope
- MPL Accelerometer
- MPL Magnetic Field
- MPL Orientation
- MPL Rotation Vector
- MPL Linear Acceleration
- MPL Gravity
- LTR-506ALS Light sensor
- Rotation Vector Sensor
- Gravity Sensor
- Linear Acceleration Sensor
- Orientation Sensor
- Corrected Gyroscope Sensor
These sensors make Glass a fully featured modern smartphone. Also Google Glass is running on dual core TI OMAP 4430 processor and 682MB of OS reserved RAM. When thinking about aforementioned hardware and sensors we can hope that uses of Google Glass will advance as time progresses.
