Kloxo gets new phase! yay updates!

by Ruchira on September 3, 2010

Kloxo my favourite Web server+VPS control panel in the planet now got new phase with its new developers.

kloxo updates

.After main developer Ligesh’s death (http://forum.lxcenter.org/index.php?t=msg&th=12396) this is the first time kloxo got updated! Now kloxo is opensource so it means anyone can join with current developers or develop their own. I believe kloxo is the most robust and flexible server control panel that out perform Cpanel in every way.

And in past time when kloxo was commercial owners were kind enough to offer free version which supports all commercial version features but it had 40 domain name for server limit. Dont you think they are very kind unlike devlopers of litespeed? Litespeed web server only offer 4 domains per server and 150 max concurrent connections per server and many restrictions for free version of litespeed. So it you face digg effect bam!! So lets continue in to kloxo Most of average users don’t use more than 40 domains on one server so in every way kloxo is best. but its free now and you can have unlimited domain version for free.

Kloxo development was stopped for more than 10 months and now open-source developers launched a bug tracker and it seems like they are gathering up all the bugs to be fixed because there are so many little bugs that effect in usability not security!

I know that many kloxo users thinks that kloxo is insecure because hypervm got hacked. But I think there’s no reason to be worry because no one found security bugs in the time of writing!

Dont waste your money if you dont have much money for spend for admin panels like cpanel, directadmin, plesk switch for kloxo. you can find installation instructions here https://www.ruchirablog.com/setup-vps-dedicated-server-kloxo-admin-panel/

BTW kloxo is the only server control panel that support live program switching. ex- you can switch apache to lighttpd with single click without losing any data or doing SSH things!

Ever since I have done this update I’m having a big problem. My WP blogs with custom permalinks giving 404 error ! I have no idea what has gone wrong but I’m sure it happened after I updated Kloxo. 🙁

maybe your mod_rewrite broke after the update?

Kloxo updates wouldn’t mess Apache stuff, would it ?

Does Kloxo have a option to enable mod_rewrite like Cpanel has ?

if you got apache instead of lighttpd mod_rewrite is enabled default!
